Peacocks statement jewellery

Peacocks jewellery available from here

Walking past Peacocks after work the other day, I quickly nipped in to look for some ballet pumps. A note on ballet pumps; I adore them! I can’t live without them and replace them on an all too regular basis. I’d love to own some from French Sole but I wear them out so quickly L.

Just as I was walking out, I spotted the jewellery stand and like a magpie I flitted over to find these sparkly treats. I adore statement jewellery, its often the finishing touch to an outfit and can change your look in seconds.

First off, this sparkly diamante necklace, a steal at just £7! It’s similar to one that I already have from H&M but this is in a gorgeous pastel colourway.

Next is this turquoise necklace and ring set. The statement necklace was just £6 and the almost matching ring just £2. Now these are definitely a Marni look for Primark prices!

I’ve already worn the sparkly necklace loads with my pastel knits and I can wait to get an outfit together that will really show off this statement turquoise set.

Have you guys been in to Peacocks lately?

Manicure Monday: OPI Nail Lacquer I Eat Mainely Lobster

OPI I Eat Mainely Lobster - available from here

Happy Bank Holiday! Hope you’re all enjoying the sunshine.

You know you’re onto a winner when you get stopped by strangers to ask where your nail polish is from. My friends and strangers for that matter couldn’t get enough of this beautiful coral nail polish from OPI.

A vibrant, pinky coral with just a touch of orange, there is a slight hint of iridescence in the bottle which doesn’t really come through when painted onto the nail unless you’re out in the sunshine. A high shine almost gelly finish, I used 3 coats to get this finish and I know some people thought it was a little streaky, and I guess it was a little thin.

However, I adore this colour! It’s perfect for spring and autumn days, as it’s bright but not too loud. For those really hot summer days (haha) I’ll be getting a bit more adventurous and going for a more orange based coral to really pop!

Have any of you used this colour before?

MUA Product Review Pink Lipstick Shade 4

MUA Lipstick Shade 4 Swatch available here

Although it’s been around for a while, this is the very first lipstick I’ve brought from MUA.  Pretty much every item in the MUA range is £1, which is an absolute bargain price and makes it all too tempting to pick these up along with your lunch.

Before I even begin, my favourite part of these lipsticks is the ends. At the base of each lipstick is a clear cover which is filled with a sample of the actual lipstick inside. What better way to make sure that the colour inside the tube is the same as the swatch on the outside?

This particular shade, number 4, is a bright blue based hot pink colour. The application is easy and the formula is very sheer, although the other lipsticks from the range have different formulations. As an added perk, this one smells like vanilla!

I personally love the packaging. A lot of people seem to think it feels cheap, but I disagree. It's a glossy black bullet and not underwhelming at all.

At 3.8g, you can’t beat the value. This is a great colour to wear everyday and I can’t wait to try out the other colours, especially number 15 which is a dupe for Topshop’s Coy.

What’s your favourite MUA lipstick colour?

New Look Outfit – Slouchy and Stretchy

Jumper and skirt - New Look / Pony Hair Loafers - Matalan

Here’s a super quick outfit post for you guys! I was playing around with a few pieces from my latest hauls and came up with this easy outfit. This thin knit jumper is in most wardrobes, but rather than pairing it with jeans, why not try it with a body con mini skirt instead? This one was just £3 in the sale! The combination of grey and oxblood is a bit different and goes really well.

The loafers have faux pony hair all over, how cute! I love these and have literally worn them out already.

I’d definitely pair this whole ensemble with a sparkly necklace to jazz it up, Dorothy Perkins have some gorgeous diamante designs in at the moment.

NOTD Ciate Strictly Legal

Ciate Paint Pot Strictly Legal  available from here

As if this is the first Ciate product I’ve owned! This is a really unusual colour for me but I thought I’d try something different.

Ciate Paint Pots are described as long-lasting, ultra glossy nail enamels. They’re also Formaldehyde and Toluene free, and cutting down on chemicals is on my beauty to do list this year.

The first thing I noticed about this formula was how good the coverage was on these. From the first stroke, it’s clear that you could easily get away with one coat of this luxurious polish. It’s very opaque and shimmers with a gold, pink and green undertone.  The shimmer is very dense within the burgundy base and really makes this polish shine.

It lasted really well with two coats at just under a week. Overall, I’m really impressed with these and will definitely be picked up more Ciate polish!

What do you think of Ciate Paint Pots?
