Vaseline Essential Moisture body lotion

Popped into my local shopping centre at the weekend and saw a stand promoting the new and improved Vaseline Essential Moisture range. They had an offer on where you got a free manicure, hand massage or back massage with any purchase.

The lotion is currently on offer in Boots at 1/3 off so I grabbed myself the 200ml for around £1.89! I got the original Essential Moisture but they also have Cocoa Radiant and Aloe Fresh in the range. I had a great mini manicure and hand massage and have taken a few pictures of the product to show you.

Fragrance: Really pleasant and clean

Consistency: Quite thick, if you use too much you will have to wipe it off and it can be greasy so use sparingly, it's moisture packed as it is

Value for money: Yes! Such a bargain for the price and I'd be tempted to buy it as a basic but I'm dedicated to my Body Shop and Soap & Glory body butters!

You can find out more about the range here

Have you tried these out yet? What's your favourite body lotion?!

Accessorize Nail Polish Review – Indian Ocean & Tuscan Clay

So here’s the first ever Bella & Robot nail polish review! I’m sure that there will be plenty as I’ve recently become a nail polish fiend. As much as I’ve always loved them, I’m starting to feel a bit more experimental with colours and there’s so many great effects out there now I can’t wait to try them all.

First off, the colour. It’s fantastic, a really lush deep ocean blue which is exactly what it promises to be. It went on really easily, with a good smooth consistency. I used a Rimmel clear polish as a base coat and needed two coats to get an even colour. So far I’ve had it on for nearly a week and hasn’t chipped at all.

This is the first time that I’ve tried to do my nails professionally, by which I mean without touching the edges. I watched this tutorial on YouTube and decided to try it out. I do think it looks more professional this way (although it is more time consuming and I won’t be doing it every time) so thank you to Miss Jen Fabulous for the tip.

For the price (£4 usually, £2 in the sale) and quality of this I’m really impressed. It’s also a really good size at 10ml. I couldn’t find this shade online but you might get lucky and find it in store. I’ll definitely be trying out a few more shades and letting you know. I tried to find a dupe for you and the closest I could find is OPI Blue My Mind.

On the downside, after I did this review I tried to take it off and it left my hands and nails a blue green colour all over! It took 3 more attempts with nail polish remover and one more with lemon juice to get back to something resembling healthy!!

I did however have more luck with Tuscan Clay. It had a slightly thicker consistency, went on well, lasted a week before it started to wear away at the cuticle and came off without any drama. It's a really wearable shade, perfect for light tan skin colours as a beige nude rather than a pink nude. Excuse the ragged nails! The colour is similar to Nails Inc Caramel.

Have any of you tried Accessorize Nail Polishes? What did you think?

Versatile Blogger Award

What can I say, but wow! So thrilled to be given this award, big thank you to Samantha from When Flowers Fall. It seems the idea is to share a few facts about yourself and award it to a few other gals who you think deserve it. So here goes:

1. The 1950's is probably my favourite fashion era, it's all about the hair and makeup.
2. One reason I started the blog was to have an excuse to spend more time experimenting with beauty
3. This year some of my resolutions (although they're not really resolutions) are to have a golf, tennis and pottery lesson
4. I have a huge shoe collection but most of them are round toed courts!
5. Most wanted celebrity hair award goes to Kelly Brook and Jessica Alba
6. I don't have a bucket list/life plan
7. I can't wait for Made in Chelsea to come back!

Here are just a few of my favourite bloggers who I feel deserve this award, there are literally so many passionate bloggers out there but there's not room for them all!!

January Sales Buys

I don’t usually rate the January sales, too much pushing and queuing for my liking but this year was pretty good. Shopping for clothes in the sale is never that fruitful so it was mainly beauty products that I got from Boots (first four items).

Soap and Glory Yum at Heart set. I had to get this as I’ve been dying to try out The Breakfast Scrub. The set was £8 and that alone is £9.45 so seemed worth repurchasing the Hand Foot cream. Will let you know what it’s like once I’ve tried it out.

St Tropez Taster Collection. I’ve never properly used fake tan besides an ill advised encounter with some mousse. I’m a bit tentative about using it but at £7.50 it seemed like a good buy. Inside is a Self Tan Bronzing Lotion, Body Polish and Body Moisturiser.

Umberto Giannini Glam Hair Style Loving Hair Kit. Pretty much bought this for the black box clutch but it also contains Glam Hair Morning After Dry Shampoo and Glam Hair Rock N Roll Extreme Hairspray (both 30ml).

Armani Code gift set. Described as containing orange blossom, Madagascar vanilla, honey (?!), and Sambac jasmine, this is a gorgeous fragrance, quite sweet but not sickly. Lovely box too!

Accessorize Nail Polish in Indian Ocean and Tuscan Clay. Stunning colours, a deep rich blue and tawny nude. Look out for product reviews and swatches.

Tess Daly – Daly Body Glow (from M&S). I’ve only tried this on my hand but it gives a fabulous light gold luminous glow. This will be perfect when it gets warmer on legs.

The main picture also shows a multi coloured Aztec scarf from M&S and a purse sized perfume from there called Gold Glow (citrus, pear top notes, jasmine, orange flower, honeysuckle, white musk and sandalwood). It does smell familiar but I can’t quite put my finger on what! Very fresh, light and citrusy though.

What did you guys get in the sales? Are you waiting for the last sale bargains?
